Seat Repair The seat recovering has begun!
I started with the back bottum seat figuring this was going to be the hardest out of all of them. I am taking my time so I can't really give you an estimate on how long this is taking, but all in all I was able to take the seats out of the Bronc in about a day.
I am reusing the existing vinal that was on the seats since there was only a couple of cracks in it. . . . this is saving money. Also I had purchased some fabric about 5 years ago at a salvage shop for $7. I ended up with 21 feet of it at that price, so it was definately a steal.
I started out the actual recovering by taking apart the fabric and cutting out the new piece in one day and then sewing in the new piece on the second day. I would say that have invested a total of about 4 hours into just one section of seat. Not bad really for the results and cost.

Maintenance
Brake/ Rotor replacement. Replaced the rotors and brakes today. The whole ordeal actually went well other then the wind desided to blow and rain started falling as we were replacing the last set of brakes. . .isn't that the way it goes!
All in all it went well. The passenger side was in great shape, but the driver side was the extreme opposite. . .groved badly. We were able to get the job done without too many problems and I was actually quite surprised considering how long we are thinking this poor girl sat and collected moss.
Well, she still isn't ready to run the roads. . . .we still have a brake fluid leak in the rear end, but NEXT on our list!

The Begining of a Project! Ok. . .a little story on my Bronco.
I found her in the back corner of a tiny car lot in Springfield Oregon. The salesman stated that she was brought in as a trade in. At first site it was hard to tell what was paint green and what was just plain green film from sitting. The interior doesn't look like its seen human life in over a year which is about how outdated the tags are on it. But with a little assistance from a jumper box she fired right up.
This is where everyone cringes at me. . . yes I paid $1000.00 for her and drove her home. She has a kick butt engine in here and the 4x4 is in great shape. By looking at the hay inside I would say that she spent her time hauling hay bails and not much more. . .but all in all the repairs that need to be done for her to be a safe running rig again are few. New brakes and rotors.
New u-joints.
New battery.
Restore the interior!
Hopefully I will be documenting the brake and rotor soon!!
