1973 Dodge Challenger Specs & Photos
The 1973 Dodge Challenger was a late first-generation E-body offered only as a 2-door hardtop, the convertible and R/T having been dropped after 1971. Power came from a 318 cubic inch (5.2L) V8 as standard and an optional 340 cubic inch (5.6L) V8 rated at 240 hp net, the final year for the 340 before the 360 replaced it. The Rallye appearance and handling package stood in for the earlier R/T. Transmissions were a 3-speed manual, a 4-speed manual, and the TorqueFlite 3-speed automatic.
