The 2003 Ford Escort lineup consisted solely of the ZX2 coupe, by then marketed as the Ford ZX2 but still built on the Escort platform. The coupe received a facelift and minor mechanical changes for its final year while keeping the 130 hp (net) 2.0L Zetec DOHC four. The last ZX2 was assembled in June 2003, ending the Escort line in North America.
