The 1957 Ford F-100 introduced the third-generation "Fridge" body, a flatter, slab-sided redesign with integrated front fenders and the Styleside and Flareside bed styles. The 223-cubic-inch Mileage Maker inline-six was standard, with the 272-cubic-inch Y-block V8 as the V8 option, both rated in SAE gross horsepower.
