The 1987 Ford F-350 took on the eighth-generation restyle, with flush composite headlamps and smoother front sheetmetal that earned the 1987-1991 trucks the bricknose nickname. Rear-wheel anti-lock brakes became standard on the F-Series the same year. 1987 was also the final year of the 6.9L IDI diesel, which grew to 7.3 liters for 1988.
