The 1959 Ford Fairlane lost its flagship status mid-year when Ford introduced the Galaxie series above it, ending the Fairlane 500's run at the top of the line. All full-size Fords now shared a 118 inch wheelbase, and the Skyliner retractable made its final appearance with 12,915 built. Engines spanned the 223 six through the 332 and 352 FE V8s.
