Ford Ranchero
1957 Ford Ranchero Specs & Photos
The 1957 Ford Ranchero introduced the coupe utility to the United States, a car-based pickup adapted from the full-size two-door Ranch Wagon by removing the rear roof and fitting a cargo bed over the floor. It rode on a 116-inch wheelbase with the new 1957 full-size Ford styling. The base engine was the 223-cubic-inch inline-six, with Y-block V8s in 272, 292, and 312 displacement optional, all rated SAE gross. Ford offered the 1957 Ranchero in base and Custom trim and built 21,705 of them in this first year.
The 1957 Ford Ranchero is part of the Full-Size Ranchero (1957-1959) generation (1957-1959). See the full Ford Ranchero 1957-1959 registry →
