Ford Thunderbird
1957 Ford Thunderbird Specs & Photos
The 1957 Ford Thunderbird was the final year of the original two-seat first generation, restyled with modest tailfins, a larger front bumper and grille, and a longer rear deck that moved the spare tire back inside the trunk. The standard 292 cubic inch Y-block V8 produced 212 gross horsepower, while the optional 312 cubic inch V8 came in several tunes: 245 gross horsepower with a single four-barrel, 270 to 285 gross horsepower with dual four-barrels, and a rare McCulloch and Paxton supercharged F-code version factory-rated at 300 gross horsepower. It was the last two-seat Thunderbird until the 2002 revival.
The 1957 Ford Thunderbird is part of the First-Gen Thunderbird generation (1955–1957). See the full Ford Thunderbird 1955–1957 registry →
