The 1964 Ford Thunderbird introduced the fourth-generation Flair Bird, with squarer, more sculpted sheetmetal on a unibody platform, offered as a hardtop coupe, Landau, and convertible. The standard and only engine was the 390 cubic inch FE V8 rated at 300 gross horsepower with a Cruise-O-Matic three-speed automatic. A new wraparound cockpit-style dashboard and Silent-Flo ventilation were among the interior changes for 1964.
