1989 Mazda MX-6 Specs & Photos
The 1989 Mazda MX-6 gained a platform sibling when Ford introduced the Probe, built alongside it at Flat Rock on the same GD underpinnings. The lineup carried over the 110 horsepower F2 2.2-liter four in DX and LX trim and the turbocharged GT, which made 145 horsepower and 190 lb-ft of torque. Electronically controlled four-wheel steering joined the GT's option list this year.
The 1989 Mazda MX-6 is part of the First-Gen MX-6 generation (1988–1992). See the full Mazda MX-6 1988–1992 registry →
