For 1990 the Mazda MX-6 continued in DX, LX, and turbocharged GT form on the GD platform it shared with the 626 and Ford Probe. The F2 2.2-liter four carried over at 110 horsepower, with the intercooled F2T version making 145 horsepower in the GT. American-market cars remained products of the Flat Rock, Michigan plant.
