I know it's Impossible to tell in the pic, but 2 of those wires indicated by the red arrow are broken. The rest are very brittle from heat.
Those fine wires are the only electrical path in and out of the GPCM, so it's no wonder these things fail.

The yellow circles indicate where the casing broke trying to open it. The lid to the enclosure is just swaged in place, but my methods are not so delicate.
