05gray50.jpg Both manifolds were significantly warped, most likely due to gaskets being installed when the engine was replaced.  I'll install them withOUT gaskets, as Ford specifies.  These have been primed & sprayed with high-heat paint inside & out; and then planed.  So if you look closely, you can see the bare metal.

Note that the 4th hole from the rear on the Left manifold (bottom), and the 4th hole from the front on the Right one, are smaller than the other bolt holes - barely larger than the bolt.  That's what holds the manifold in-position.  The others clamp it to the surface, but allow it to expand & contract with temperature changes.  So always install that bolt FIRST.  It's #1 in the tightening sequence.
