Before we can disassemble anything, this retaining bolt must be removed. Be very careful, as these have been known to crack. A stress fracture in this bolt can result in a cracked bolt very easily if stressed too much. Do it carefully.

Also, make sure and use an 8-point socket or wrench. You don't want to strip this thing out.

Once this retaining bolt is out, the pin will slide right out, which will in turn allow the axles to be pushed into the housing for C-clip removal.
