many axles need the new backing plate to be shimed out to install. on both this and my F250s kit i needed to shim it out. my F250 i stacked some washers to shim it but the kit now includes a spacer to do that.

you will have to mock the caliper/pads/rotor up to see if the spacer is needed or not.

the stock bolts should be fine with use without the spacer but with the spacer, longer bolts will be needed. the kit does not include these bolts unfortunately
