this is the 6 pinion, wide-ratio planetary set I installed;

it's the stock part out of the Ford E40D 4spd auto transmission. I installed it instead of the original 3-pinion planetary; the sun gear and shell gets changed also.

it should "trick" my car into thinking the rearend is actually a lower ratio; just what a heavy car (4200 pounds) with a big cam needs to get moving.
