for what the right side was, the left side was a breeze... Basically because the mount you see welded to the frame was so rusted out that, you could lift straight up on the front clip and it wasn't even attached anymore. When i lifted the clip off the truck the mount just fell to the ground, cause it wasn't even attached to the radiator support anymore... lol
If you were to save this vehicle from it's ultimate demise. You would have to cut that mount off the frame and weld a new one back on (of course replace the radiator core support). An believe it or not, i have done that very thing for customers in the past & i shook my head every time.
Unless a vehicle is so rare, that it's financially & physically worth fixing, then i am game for these types of projects. BUT when they are a dime a dozen (cheap as well), there is no reason to waste your time fixing up rust buckets, when there are so many rust free vehicles available to fix up.
Rust is just like cancer, what it would take to put a vehicle with these kind of problems in the same shape of my rust free 88 is close to 5,000 dollars with of just new metal parts.
