RKE Burnt Etching - caused by the lead to the lock solenoid shorted to the door frame. The PO replaced the solenoid, and pinched the wire between the solenoid and the bracket that holds the solenoid. That circuit is not fused, so the relay closed, applying the voltage to the solenoid. Dead short, took out the etching.
