The 1990 Toyota Pickup carried the fifth-generation range into its second year with the 2.4-liter 22R-E four or the 150 horsepower 3.0-liter 3VZ-E V6, in regular cab and Xtracab bodies with standard or long beds. 4x4 models used the torsion-bar Hi-Trac independent front suspension introduced on the 1986 trucks. Trim ran from the base and Deluxe models to the SR5, and a heavy-duty One Ton model topped the 2WD payload ratings.
