Toyota Pickup
1991 Toyota Pickup Specs & Photos
The 1991 Toyota Pickup marked the start of US assembly, as the NUMMI joint-venture plant in Fremont, California added Toyota truck production alongside the Corolla. Building trucks domestically sidestepped the 25 percent tariff on imported pickups, and US-built trucks were sold in parallel with Japan-built units. Powertrains carried over, the 2.4-liter 22R-E four and the 150 horsepower 3.0-liter 3VZ-E V6, in 2WD and 4WD, regular cab and Xtracab configurations.
