Old = 1 7/8" (2.76 square inches)
New = 2 1/2" (4.90 square inches)

A 77% increase in exhaust size should really help and get things moving. (Not to mention an unplugged cat and muffler.)

Besides, how can you go wrong with 4.9 square inches of exhaust on a 4.9 straight six?
