After cleaning the packing grease and residue off the tank with acetone, I emptied two of these spray cans of clear urethane onto the tank. Six coats or more ensures rust protection. I have a Mopar tanks that is rust free after 15 years and being in four cars. Should have done the last Bronco tank that way.
