1996 Ford Bronco - removing leaf spring perches to weld new ones on is not a fun job. many axles use cast perches which are strong and hard to remove. the bes… 1996 Ford Bronco - cut it entirely though near the middle by using the recessed areas to minimize effort. 1996 Ford Bronco - cut it all the way across the middle. try and avoid cutting too deep like i did 1996 Ford Bronco - cut the weld best you can without cutting into the tube. just need to weaken it enoguh 1996 Ford Bronco - hit with a large hammer on the outside corner of that section 1996 Ford Bronco - if you have sectioned it off completly and weakened the weld enoguh, it should start to break the weld without too much effort. may need to… 1996 Ford Bronco - break that section off move to the next 1996 Ford Bronco - all 4 sections broke off. now you can grind the tube smooth for the new perches
