The 1996 Acura Integra was a carryover year in the third generation (1994-2001). The RS, LS, and SE trims used the B18B1 1.8L DOHC inline-4 rated at 142 net horsepower, and the GS-R used the B18C1 1.8L DOHC VTEC rated at 170 net horsepower. Body styles were the 3-door hatchback and 4-door sedan, with a 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic. The high-performance Integra Type R did not reach the US market until the 1997 model year.
