The 2012 Dodge Challenger was a carryover year in the third generation (LC platform), continuing the previous season's lineup. It was offered as a 2-door coupe in SXT (3.6L Pentastar V6, 305 hp), R/T (5.7L HEMI V8, 372 hp automatic and 375 hp manual), and SRT8 392 (6.4L HEMI V8, 470 hp) trims. Transmissions were a 5-speed automatic and a Tremec TR-6060 6-speed manual. Changes were limited to new appearance packages rather than mechanical revisions.
