Dodge Durango
1998 Dodge Durango Specs & Photos
The 1998 Dodge Durango arrived as Dodge's new midsize SUV, sharing its frame and front sheetmetal with the Dakota pickup and built alongside it at Newark Assembly in Delaware. In its first year every Durango was four-wheel drive, with a choice of the standard 230 horsepower 5.2 liter Magnum V8 or the optional 245 horsepower 5.9 liter Magnum. An available third-row seat pushed capacity to eight passengers, rare in the class at the time.
