The 2003 Dodge Durango closed out the first generation ahead of an all-new 2004 model. The 4.7 liter PowerTech V8 remained standard, and the long-running 5.9 liter Magnum made its final Durango appearance in the R/T. First-generation production ended at Newark Assembly in Delaware, the plant that would also build the redesign.
