The 1976 Ford F-150 continued the half-ton model in its second year, still offering the 300-cubic-inch (4.9L) inline-six as standard with 302, 360, 390, and 460 V8 options. The Ford F-Series became the best-selling truck line in the United States for 1976. It was the final model year for the 360 and 390 FE-family V8s in the light-duty Ford F-150 before Ford replaced them for 1977.
