Ford F-150

1979 Ford F-150 Specs & Photos

The 1979 Ford F-150 was the final year of the Dentside sixth generation, with rectangular headlamps used across the range. The engine lineup carried over: the 300-cubic-inch (4.9L) inline-six as standard, plus the 302, 351M, 400, and 460 V8s. The 1980 Ford F-150 followed with the redesigned Bullnose body and the new Twin-Traction Beam independent front suspension on four-wheel-drive trucks.
