The 1970 Ford F-250 received the largest restyle of the generation, with a new grille carrying wraparound front parking and signal lamps, and the Ranger XLT joined as the top trim. The engine range continued with the 240 and 300 inline-sixes, the 302 V8, and the 360 and 390 FE V8s, rated in SAE gross horsepower. The 1970 F-250 4x4 used a solid front axle.
