Ford Fairmont
1983 Ford Fairmont Specs & Photos
The 1983 Ford Fairmont was the final model year, sold as the Fairmont Futura after the entire line adopted the Futura name for 1982. Only coupe and sedan body styles remained, the station wagon having moved to the Granada line for 1982. Power came from the 2.3L (140 cu in) inline-four, revised to about 90 hp net, or the optional 3.3L (200 cu in) inline-six at roughly 92 hp, with no V8 offered. The front-wheel-drive Ford Tempo replaced the Fairmont for 1984.
