The 1985 Ford LTD Crown Victoria carried over as the top full-size Ford on the Panther platform, with the fuel-injected 5.0L (302) Windsor V8 and the AOD four-speed overdrive automatic. The 5.8L (351 Windsor) V8 remained mainly a fleet and police engine. The 1985 LTD Crown Victoria kept the upright body and offered sedan and LTD Country Squire station-wagon bodies.
