The 1988 Ford LTD Crown Victoria received a mid-cycle refresh with rounded fascias and integrated bumpers on the same upright body. It continued with the sequential-fuel-injected 5.0L (302) Windsor V8 and the AOD four-speed automatic on the full-size Panther platform, offered as a sedan and an LTD Country Squire station wagon, with the 5.8L (351 Windsor) V8 reserved mainly for fleet and police use.
