Ford Ranchero
1966 Ford Ranchero Specs & Photos
The 1966 Ford Ranchero moved the coupe utility up from the compact Falcon to Ford's intermediate platform, a larger car. As a one-year transitional arrangement, the 1966 truck used Falcon front sheet metal grafted onto the bigger intermediate body. Engines were the 170 and 200 inline-sixes and the 289 V8, all rated SAE gross. The move ended the compact Falcon era and set up the full Fairlane styling that arrived for 1967.
The 1966 Ford Ranchero is part of the Fairlane/Torino Ranchero (1966-1971) generation (1966-1971). See the full Ford Ranchero 1966-1971 registry →
