1987 Ford Taurus Specs & Photos

The 1987 Ford Taurus continued the first-generation sedan and wagon with the 2.5 HSC inline-four and the pushrod Vulcan 3.0 V6. The body retained the 0.32-drag aerodynamic shape introduced for 1986. Transmissions remained the five-speed manual on the MT-5, the three-speed ATX automatic with the four-cylinder, and the four-speed AXOD automatic with the Vulcan V6. The Mercury Sable continued as the badge-engineered sibling.
