1997 Ford Thunderbird Specs & Photos
The 1997 Ford Thunderbird ended the MN12 line and the nameplate's 43-year continuous run, with production stopping at Ford's Lorain, Ohio assembly plant in September 1997. No Thunderbird returned until the two-seat 2002 revival. The single LX model carried over the 145-horsepower 3.8-liter V6 and the optional 205-horsepower 4.6-liter modular V8, with final-year changes limited to trim and options.
The 1997 Ford Thunderbird is part of the MN12 (10th-Gen) generation (1989–1997). See the full Ford Thunderbird 1989–1997 registry →
