The 1963 Lincoln Continental was the third year of the slab-sided fourth generation, a unibody car built at Wixom, Michigan and offered as a sedan or a four-door convertible with rear-hinged back doors. The convertible was the only four-door soft top in regular American production at the time. The 430 cubic inch MEL V8 carried a 320 gross horsepower rating for 1963, up from 300 in the two prior years.
