The 1969 Lincoln Continental closed out the slab-sided generation that began in 1961 and was the last Continental with rear-hinged back doors. The 460 cubic inch V8 rated 365 gross horsepower was standard in the sedan and two-door hardtop. A body-on-frame replacement arrived for 1970.
