The 1968 Lincoln Continental phased in the new 460 cubic inch 385-series V8, rated 365 gross horsepower, with early production cars still carrying the 462 MEL. Federally required side marker lights appeared this year. Body styles were the sedan and two-door hardtop, the convertible having been dropped after 1967.
