Forgot to take a picture during the work but I cut off one of the original U support pipes and bolted it into my pipe for a little extra support it needed.

Then I gave it a couple coats of Rustoleum black to help protect a little from rust. I filled all the holes with some strong silicone adhesive to stop dirt and water from getting in the piping the best I could.
