I want to install an inverter, strobe package, lots of work lights, and multiple radios but I didn't want to have my engine running all the time with them on so I installed a huge deep cycle battery with a 200a relay between the stock battery and the new one.

The relay is wired to only be on when the engine is running. Causing the deep cycle to be isolated when the engine is off.

Which allows me to wire everything to that battery and it I run that battery down with my strobe lights I can still start my engine and not be stranded.

Also in theory it will act as an auto jump starter if for some reason the main battery gets drained.
