Using vise grips to keep the pieces tight, I set the rivets for the L-bolt & latch; then flattened them. This glass tape is too thin to hold the glass tightly (even after crushing the channel slightly in a vise), so I had to add E6000 to both sides of it. Before it set up, re-installed the window into its frame, and the frame into the door so that the channel would be held in the correct position to fill the opening.
