these Firestone 551236 tubes have a removeable stem for filling with water. i wont be using that feature but they do have a nut for retaining the stem in the hole of the wheel which i found is defiantly needed putting in a automotive wheel.

i was unable to find out what pitch thread the retainnig nut is. didnt seem to be any normal metric or american thread, very fine.
