20200710 - Backside of the tachometer gauge in the dash. I read on FSB that there is a glue used that can run, become hard, and somewhat conductive, that messes up the signal being sent to the tach, causing tach issues. Given that mine intermittently works, I thought I'd scrape the glue off as suggested. You can see it as the dull parts on all over the circuit board. I scraped some off already on the bottom right corner around the post there. This fix didn't work by the way, still having intermittent tach.
