Pretty happy with the amount of penetration I got out of the spot weld method. Fairly consistent and controlled, despite the work space requiring some contortion. (0.023" wire w/ 100% Argon shielding gas, on a heat setting suitable for 22 ga but with a higher wire speed ... for anyone studying along at home.)
