Bed brace spot welded from above, and fully welded at the ends below. I drilled the bed holes for the spot welds fairly small, figuring I'd go with heat suitable to the 1/8" c-channel down below and burn the hole bigger, rather than start with a big hole and try filling it with lower heat than the 1/8" wants. It seemed to work pretty well.
