Later-style bed bolts (short N806251-S103 & long N806252-S103) are installed from above, using a 5mm Allen (hex) driver, into U-nuts (N803334-S439) that clip to the top of the frame rail. So they're easier to work with than the older non-rotating (until they rust up) bolts that require removing an 18mm nut from below.
