V5 il l illlli ur Bronco was rst purchased new by my parcnls in 1986 as a basic family vehicle (I even got my drivers license in the Bronco) My parents passed it on to my sise lcr, and my sister passed il on to us. We used il as a grocery getter. bout launcher, day tripper, and commuter... until we movcd up to El Domdo County from the Montercy Bay. We discovered how much fun the snow was, but we were tired of getting passed up by every Toyota and Jeep on the trail. So this pmmplcd us to get a 6" Superlift and 35 inch Mickey Thompson Baja Claws. This helped us somcwhl in the snow hul its my husband Alfred smn dise covered shoveling was the pits. We need ed a winch. so we went with a Warn 8274 winch and added a rear ARE locker. Well, Lhaljusl got the ball rolling and we got a sweet deal on a 78 F150 from end and did a SAS. adding a front ARB. and 5J3 gears. Alfred made some removable rock slide cm for when we lake the Bronco out on the Rubicon (Alfred calls that puekering fun".) Our Brnnco wns doing great in the :- L'jj'jj) 5135111 SJLLJJUJJJLX llilllJ snow as is, but we still thought we could do better, and going up to 38.5x16x15 Baju Claws really did the trick. The wider fool prim really helped us oul. Mm that size or a tire we Started breaking things hen: and there but nothing, major really. Kept bends ing the tie rods, we broke the innets and outers, and broke a u-jointt We then went with the Warn from axles. ch uejoinls and Alfred made new chrome moly rod ends and a new tie rod and dmg link out of dam tubing. This seems to be holding up just ne. Alfred has worked really hard on our Bronco to get it where r is. Its not done by any means. but we gt! a little closer and closer every year. Fullsizehroneoeern has been a great suurcc oftechnical help (and u great way to meet fellow Bronco enthus'r asls.) The Bronco has been the best invcsle ment as far as family time and money gun ll's someLhing that we all enjoy. even the kids The only issue we have now is who gels to drive... the motto around hcre' is If you move your meat you lose your soul E mmm.wm
