The rear axle vent line was run all the way to the shifter cable…

The rear axle vent line was run all the way to the shifter cable. Why? We may never know. The end is lower than the frame over the axle, so it's MORE likely to suck water here than if it had been left stock. It's also facing straight forward, with no vent cap to keep water or insects out.
