These nerf bars were shipped as bare steel. Some minor welding spatter had to be cleaned, and drain holes were added before chrome-look powdercoating. Then self-adhesive diamond-plate rubber treads were cut to fit.
UPDATE:
Frank now wishes he had gone with either black to be less-noticeable, or metalflake tan to match the body.
REUPDATE:
The bars are now painted metalflake tan to match the body.
